Important Update Road Closures - Lamson Road Aug-Sep 2018
Lamson Road will be partly closed over the next few weeks for important repairs to alleviate subsidence
15 August 2018
We have been given the following information regarding the imminent road repairs:
Location 1 - Near Creekside (Phase 1)
Location 2- Near Bridge Road roundabout (Phase 2)
The proposal is to repair the carriageway and footway in three separate phases whilst minimising the disruption caused;
Phase 1 – works to start on site Monday 20th August 2018 for a duration of five working days. Plans are to use two-way temporary traffic signals between the hours of 8am to 4pm and no diversion route is required.
Phase 2 – Works to start on site from Tuesday 28th August 2018 for a duration of 15 working days. Due to the location of the subsidence the safest method of working is to close the entry in to Lamson Road from the Bridge Road roundabout between the hours of 8am to 4pm daily. The partial closure will assist operatives to carry out the essential repairs safely and cause the least disruption within the area. A traffic management plan can be obtained from the Council via the contact details below.
Phase 3 – Full night time road closure on 24th September 2018 for two nights for carriageway surfacing in both locations. Time of closure is still to be confirmed along with the traffic management plan.
