The Everyone's Business Advice Line supporting vistims of doemastic abuse
October 2020
Hestia, a charity helping adults and children in times of crisis, has launched a domestic abuse helpline for businesses supporting employees suffering from domestic abuse.
This new service, funded by the home office provides a discreet and much-needed mechanism for employers to help their colleagues and staff.
The Everyone’s Business Advice Line
The Everyone’s Business Advice Line is a resource for employers to advise them on how to approach disclosures of domestic abuse by their employees, particularly in light of Covid-19, and to triage such employees into the appropriate local specialist domestic abuse services.
It offers advice to employers that they can use to support employees, including
- COVID-19 related support, recognising the fact that ‘Home is not always safe’
- The use of business resources to provide a response
- Increasing pathways to specialist support
- Triage service with the completion of DASH-RIC
Employers who are seeking advice can call 07770480437 or email [email protected] between 10am-3pm Monday to Friday for support.
